If you are thinking about taking a job overseas for the first time take a look at our First Time Overseas Page.  Working overseas can be a great experience and be very rewarding financially.  One of the big savings is from the Foreign Earned Income Exclusion.  According to IRS.gov the maximum foreign earned income exclusion was $85,700 in 2007 and in 2008 it will be $87,600.  If you have to pay for housing the base amount in 2008 will be $38.30 a day or $14,016 a year.   Depending on the location the figure could increase.  Keep up to date on the qualifications for this tax break on IRS.gov.


Middle East Jobs:  The Middle East jobs are still going strong and can be a lucrative place to find an overseas job.  There is a list of companies on our Middle East page that are looking to fill job openings throughout the Middle East.

Working Overseas Can Be a Cash Cow

Working overseas is a very profitable endeavor.  If you start out at a young age the more profitable it will be for you.  A lot of the jobs overseas require a high school diploma and some kind of professional certificate or military experience.  Once you are out of high school and finish college or finish a course that gives you certificate like a Cisco, Microsoft, or electronic certification you are ready to start applying for overseas jobs.  .  A big thing is staying out of trouble with the law because if you can pass a back ground check you will be good to go.
